The approach

A clear first impression
for complex research.

The announcement brought several research directions into one story. I developed a visual composition that connected research imagery within NSF’s identity, giving the release a recognizable thread across web and social.

Geometric framing brings the different subjects together, while a shared blue palette and the NSF identity help the artwork read as one piece. The design supports the story at a glance and invites people to explore the research behind it.

In use
